Passport to Paris

Paris Deco Off has quickly become one of our team's favorite events--2017 proved to be no different. In its eighth year, Paris Deco Off is a 5-day exhibition that welcomes more than 100 prestigious brands to Paris. While enjoying a variety of cultural events and entertainment both on the street and in the showrooms, attendees can peruse all of the new and exciting products that these brands are launching and be the first in the design world to experience these offerings in person. This year, we kicked off the event by hosting an intimate soiree to celebrate our time in Paris. The party, which was held at the Showroom Ephemere, just steps from the Seine, was co-hosted by Jiun Ho and thesign. Jiun Ho is the founder of Jiun Ho Inc, a luxury lifestyle and design studio, and is renowned for sensuous interiors that blend his minimal aesthetic with global inspirations. Lively contrasts--textures against clean lines, rich dark woods against sumptuous fabrics and shapes that are both challenging yet inviting--characterize his work. thesign was established in 1998 by designer and Art Director Patrick Stieger who created a collection to meet the most demanding tastes. thesign stands for luxury and exclusivity which carries the signature of Patrick Stieger, a guarantee of special product with soul and emotion. The private event, attended by designers, editors, and other friends in the industry, featured canapes and a french wine tasting by the acclaimed husband-and-wife team of chef Noam Gedalof and sommelier Etheliya Hananova. Noam and Etheliya have a combined thirty years of experience working in renowned restaurants in California, New York, Montreal, and Paris, where they plan to open their own fine dining restaurant. Noam's approach to contemporary product-driven French cuisine is precise, refined and focuses on purity and brightness of flavors. Etheliya is known for a style of wine service that is warm and receptive, highlighting both French and international artisan winemakers who strive to express a sense of place in their wines. It was a magical night of dining and sipping with both new and old friends.
