BDNY 2016
Our team had an amazing time in NYC meeting new clients and seeing longtime friends at Boutique Design New York. BDNY is a unique way for designers and visionaries to network and collaborate with other creatives in the industry. According to BDNY, "Boutique Design New York is the leading trade fair and conference for the hospitality design industry, serving the eastern United States, Canada and Europe. Presented annually by Boutique Design at NYC's Javits Convention Center, BDNY brings interior designers, architects, purchasing agents and hospitality owners/developers together with manufacturers and marketers of high-caliber design elements for hospitality interiors."
This year, Moore & Giles unveiled a completely new booth that featured a leather Verner Panton's signature CloverLeaf sofa. This iconic sofa was originally produced exclusively for the famous Panton 'Visiona 2' in Cologne, Italy in 1970. Today, the sofa can only be found in Prada's most important stores around the world. We were delighted to showcase our Mont Blanc Riviera leather onto Panton's famously unique design. This leather is reflective of the heritage and artisanship of a tannery with generations of experience. Verner Panton had a special sense of colors and their influence on the world. Mont Blanc Riviera has a profound and rich color that flickers to the surface through the layers of finishing waxes. We are proud to use our leather on such a historic design and we believe that Panton would be pleased with the finished product.
Another standout moment for us this year at the show was winning the award for Best Exhibit - what an honor!
