Our Moore & Giles team members packed up this week and headed across the country (& sea!) for some fun, creative and innovative experiences in the world of leather and bags.
PORTLAND
Audrey Dubie, production manager, headed out to one of our factories in Portland, Oregon where she reviewed new samples and future production for our American-made Moore & Giles products.
"This was my first time visiting this factory, and I was inspired by the enthusiasm. They have ideas to make our products more refined and long-lasting, which is always our goal," Dubie said.
PARIS & LONDON
Brooks Morrison, vice president of product design and merchandising, and Jenny Wimer, design and merchandising coordinator, traveled to Paris and London last week. They spent Monday with the Sales and Design Staff of IDO Fusion in Paris where they discussed the opening of their new expanded space before traveling to the
Cuir A Paris. Cuir A Paris is a leather and fur show for all fashion related industries. They had the opportunity to meet current tanneries, review products and find new tanneries to enhance our offerings. From there they joined the folks at
Altfield Ltd. in London as they prepared for the
Decorex show. They helped build the display and joined Arnie Thornhill and Matt Buckley on opening day.
"Both locations are represented by very talented and driven people. It was great to get to know them and how they work!" said Wimer.
NASHVILLE
Several members of the Moore & Giles team traveled together to Nashville, where we were proud to sponsor the
Nashville Lifestyles' Style Setters Event with Brian Barry and his team. The event took place at Lexus of Nashville, which is not your typical car dealership - this dealership is staged as an artfully designed showroom. The event introduced some of Nashville's most stylish residents to some of the best brands in the city. It was a great opportunity for us to join with our retail partner,
Haymaker's, and feature our brand. We also brought along the much-loved Airstream and provided cocktails to attendees.
